OK, just a quick comment. There are some things that I can read about a chick before I approach, and there are somethings that I can’t find out about her until after I’ve started interacting with her.

Well with some girls I can read that they are after ONS or something just for the night. However it’s impossible for me to know that she is strictly looking for an LTR without actually talking to her.

This was what I first started doing when I joined this board. I’d have my goals for the night or what kind of relationship I was looking for.

However I approached ALL CHICKS THAT I FOUND ATTRACTIVE, NOT JUST THE ONES I THOUGHT WOULD MEET MY GOAL. This is important to remember.

I wasn’t as good at "reading" chicks before approaching, so alot of this was finding out what the chick was like after I approached and get her to conform to my goals.

Several years ago, I had these 2 things mutually separated.

But nowadays, I’ve found a balance somewhere in between these two alternatives.

When I meet chicks today it’s not so much about me giving her what she’s looking for or trying to find a girl who wants what I want.

Instead, I push the interaction so that we both make slight adjustments/compromises and find some middle ground, but at the same time benefit from our differences.

Did that make any sense?

A good indicator to a girl on whether you’re a cool guy or a weirdo AFC is the "awkward" silence. You know, that period of time when there’s a prolonged silence in conversation?

I was waiting in line at a mexican fast food joint, and I noticed this couple sitting down, maybe a first date or something. The guy was a wreck: his back was slouched, he was smiling and giggling WAY too much, and even from 20 feet away I could feel that creepy/nervous vibe on him.

Anyway, so the guy will bring up a conversation, and the girl will respond, and as soon as there’s a silence in between the conversation, the guy begins tapping the table, playing with his utensils, looking around, shifting his body etc. Then he would bring up another topic, and the girl would engage, and so on.

Now this guy was a total wreck, but I bet a lot of you newbies dread that silent time. Maybe you don’t fidget as much, but you’re definitely thinking "okay, what next? What next? Cube? Palm reading? Breakdance on the floor?"

Chill out. because chicks have a sixth sense for nervousness. Rather, if you keep calm and KNOW that she’s attracted to you, you won’t have to do anything during that silence. Maybe she can bring something to the conversation. And if she doesn’t, then who cares? Maybe she’s shy. Maybe she’s tired. You know that you’re the man, so you don’t have to entertain her. Rather, you can reverse it and see how she reacts to that silence, and from that you can respond with conversation that is natural, and not the product of panic.

I can corroborate the issues about college. This stuff seems to be true especially in the higher-end colleges. The more academic and closer to ivy league universities are, the less sex is going around. In the UK, Oxford is the most chaste university, followed by Cambridge at second place.

The same is true for grad school. I’m currently at grad school and although most people here are smart as hell, they are also unbelievably underdeveloped in social skills. Or at least rather frigid.

I think the reason for that is not that people aren’t horny in those places (people are horny everywhere), it’s a combination of people being brainy, incapable of being in the now, happy with themselves and a massive, gargantuan EGO that prevents them from considering consulting boards like this one or from seeking self-improvement.

Just to clear this up a bit…

Women are different. What one will respond very positively to, another will be horrified of. There is huge tendency on this board to think "woman" and throw them all into the same category. Then argue about why one thing worked and one didn’t. When I am in-field, I am instantly adjusting what I say and what I do based on who I am interacting with.

When you’ve done it enough, you will know if you can move her hand onto your cock just by walking up to her, or after a bit of conversation and sexual tension, or on day 2. You have to read the girl. This is critical. Trusting your instincts is important even if they fail you a few times. Instinct is 50% of skilled PU.

I agree… but to clarify again: if she is not attracted to you, your letting her know she turns you on will only make her run for the hills. She can be attracted to you after a good conversation, some good EC, some kino, her laughing. She can also be attracted to you without your having said a word…. it can be purely physical. A look from across the dance floor… But that attraction has to be there first.
