As far as extended foreplay…

Okay, again, I can only speak for myself. I am not a sex expert – just an enthusiastic amateur, like everyone else. But, for me, an hour of straight foreplay sounds like a LOT. As in, the *too much* kind of "a lot". Like, if a guy I was with started in on that much foreplay I would assume, rightfully, that he was trying to tease me.

Which is not to say that teasing or being teased can’t be worthwhile.

However, there are people who I guess really do do an elaborate dance every time. So here are my thoughts on the whole "warm her up first" phenomenon, I guess:

I think, if a girl needs an hour of foreplay, it means she’s not attracted, or very inexperienced, or both. Women DO get aroused in a different way from guys, and they take longer to heat up, but if you have tight attraction game you will be keeping her at a slow simmer anyway.

An hour of foreplay speaks, to me, of grinding out a purely mechanical reaction in the absence of real heat. Again, I am not a sexologist. This is purely based on my own experience, and I may be taking my personal experience of sex for granted.

So, in short: no. No, you shouldn’t have to fool around for an hour every time. On the other hand, you do have to keep attraction up.

And, whether you’re putting in an hour or two minutes of foreplay, first enjoy yourself; then remember, routine is the death of good sex.
