The PUA Archives – Comments

On one side, the term RAFC is very appropriate, because the most difficult step
of this whole thing for many guys is to actually drop their self
rationalizations. For example, ask any guy if they can pick up, I GUARANTEE
they’ll come up with all these reasons that they could, but see no reason to.
Do this, its actually vexing. You can tell, because they have no concept of
flakes (because they’ve only #closed girls that they have known for months, and
they’ll even make fun of YOU for getting flaked on occassionally). Also, ask
them what they’d say to a girl to get her talking, and they come up with all
these answers that we know from experience won’t work. Then they use their few
AFCstyle LTRs and the odd ONS with some drunk/rebounding chick from a bar to
justify to themselves and the world that they are mack daddies.

So from that angle, admitting to being an -R-AFC is appropriate, as it exhibits
that you are a level up from these guys.

What Breakbeat is getting at here, IMO, is that its great that alot of guys can
finally admit that they have a problem, but then they don’t do anything to fix
it. Or more specifically, they read but don’t do field experiments. They have
the attitude "well, I’m still I’m not a PUA yet, so obviously this isn’t going
to work that well since I’m not Mystery" or some variation etc. You can tell
by the tone of the board lately.

So for all RAFCs, stop coming from the mentality that you’re "just" an RAFC.
That is, change your way of thinking, to enhance confidence etc.

Breakbeat is trying to address that. I don’t really care what happens, and I
think that it may be more trouble than its worth. Though HONESTLY we all know
that there is a problem in the community right now, because the manuals are
semi-outdated and nobody has access to them, to clean them up. So this might
be an adjustment that ought to be considered when they are eventually cleaned
up.

The point is that GPUA may act as a self-fulfilling prophecy, as your
expectations will often dictate the outcome of a sarge. Breakbeat, like
myself, is attempting to help clean up the board of massive "RAFC" postings,
that are bringing down the quality of the board. I myself have attempted to
use my free time for the last few days, and will continue to until Sept. 9 when
school starts, to clean up the board and breath some life into it. So for all
"RAFCs", please stop posting until you have something specific to ask that is
not in the archives (read: REPOST: for NEWBIES ONLY) and go out and get some
field work done. Then, come back here and add something of value to the board.
View yourselves as GPUAs, not RAFCs, to brainwash the idea into your head that
you are not some dude sitting behind a screen recovering, but someone who will
learn, and add to the wealth of experience of the board.

As MANIAC put it recently, most of the work in seduction has been done now.
There is little that most newer guys can add of value to the board, unless they
get out there and get some specific issues to chat on. I never have ANY
problem with trying to criticize a guys FR for him, as long as I see he made
the effort (you can tell by the subtleties of the post). I am currently
working on developing the KINO first method, that Gunwitch has been on about
for some time, and have had some funny things happen which I will post later.
This is actually NEW, and is of value (hopefully, we’ll see if I can make it
really work). Posts that show clear RESISTANCE to your adoption of ASF
mentalities do not. Realize that you will have a long and embaressing (if you
choose to let it embaress you) road to be where you OBVIOUSLY must want to be
if you are using/lurking this site.

View yourself as a GPUA, and get out there. Then come back, and help out the
few guys on here to have an awesome group, that will be as good as back in the
days when Mystery, MrSex, Toecutter, et. all were on here. (don’t laugh, this
is just GIRLS we’re talking about here, and these guys are not DEITIES or
something.. except maybe Toecutter )

We’ve only got a few good guys left on here, and maybe if we could get it going
again, some of the guys would mosy on back here from the Mystery Lounge
occassionally. So lets get to it.

IMO, this board has become too much of a worshipping group for some
unattainable PUA ideal. There is an unequitable balance of people on here who
claim to be PUAs (except when guys like Style and Juggler drop in on occassion,
which if either of you are reading this the group THANKS YOU) to people who
view themselves as RAFCs. This is a change in the tone of the group, from back
when it was really thriving. Read the archives.. Back then you didn’t have
guys with RAFC attitudes dominating the board.

Is my manifesto getting anything across here guys? Its taking me a LONG time
to type all of this (even though I type lightening like a typical student), is
it HELPING?
